You're in safe hands

Our health is something we all take for granted every day. But for some of us, this blissful capacity for ignorance is shattered when our body or mind starts to fail us. When this happens, we can find ourselves in a place of uncertainty and helplessness, and desperately in need of some additional support. That's where we come in.

We're Kirstie (PhD, mBANT, mCNHC, ANutr) and Deborah (RD, MSc, mBANT), the co-founders of You Nutrition. We have a combined 50 + years of experience in dietetics, nutrition, nutritional therapy, and health coaching. Our passion for nutrition and lifestyle medicine led to the launch of You Nutrition, which offers one-to-one clinical and educational support to individuals with complex health needs.

We work closely together to ensure that you receive the best support possible on your journey to better health. We firmly believe that two minds are better than one, giving our clients the very best of our combined knowledge and experience.

supporting clients beyond diagnosis

Diagnosis is the start of your journey towards better health. Using a Functional Medicine approach, we will work closely with you, mapping your life events and health history to determine the root cause of any diagnosed conditions or symptoms that you are experiencing.

We consider a wide range of driving factors including your genetics, family health history, gut microbiome, liver health, nutrient status, immune health, metabolic health, mental wellness, trauma history, environmental exposures, dietary intake, and lifestyle factors, each of which is seen as a piece of the puzzle as we determine the root cause of your health concern.

We understand that change isn't easy. We will support and coach you in making evidence-based, scientifically supported changes to your diet, environment, and lifestyle to optimize your health and nutritional status at a pace that suits you. There is no judgment, only empathy and kindness.

All sessions are confidential and in line with UK Government GDPR guidance and BANT guidelines. We are both highly qualified and fully registered by our respective governing bodies. Your budget, desired outcomes, ability, capacity, and well-being will be first and foremost in all decision-making to ensure that you feel comfortable at every step of your journey.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The first step is for you to book your free 15-minute chat so that we can get a better understanding of your situation. From here, if we feel that we can help you, we will send you a questionnaire to complete, and schedule an appointment with you. If the questionnaire is too daunting for you to complete by yourself, we can complete this together in your first appointment.

At your initial appointment, we will provide you with advice and support to help you make the first steps on your health journey. This might include recommendations for further testing (through your GP or private functional tests).

If you require functional tests, we will talk you through the most appropriate and affordable options for your condition and support you through the process.

If you require any supplements or nutraceuticals, we will provide detailed guidance. We will also work with you to develop a schedule of appointments that suits your needs and finances.

If you are feeling less than optimal, and have concerns about your health or the health of someone you care about, get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute chat, or email info@younutritionclinic.com with a summary of your health issues and we will point you in the right direction. â€‹
